NONGSTOIN: The body of Ningphun Shangoi (47), who was reportedly missing from Umsaw village in West Khasi Hills, was found on Tuesday morning at Lyngtor forest near the village.
The wife of the deceased has filed a report that her husband’s body was found from the nearby forest by their son, who went out looking for him. Shangoi had left the house on Monday morning for work, but did not return home at night.
However, the Police did not find any injury marks on the body and even the post mortem report did not indicate any foul play. The police interrogated a few people and found out that the deceased was suffering from epilepsy since 10 years. The body was handed over to the family members.
