Accident
Around 9.50 am on Wednesday, passengers of a pick-up van with Assam registration were injured when the vehicle hit a truck at 13th Mile. Injured people were admitted in a hospital in Guwahati.
Around 3 pm on Monday, a Maruti Van (ML-05F-9693) driven by Dibriwell Khongwir (17) hit a guard wall at Lad Mawreng in East Khasi Hills. The driver and three other occupants sustained injuries and were moved to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

One missing
Sunil Sinha (50 years) has been reported missing from his residence at Rynjah Pdengshnong for the last 2-3 weeks.

Theft
On Monday evening, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of Md. Siraj Uddin Choudhury at Khliehriat and stole Rs. 44,000 in cash including items worth Rs. 5,000.
On December 31, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Rajbir Sharma at Surana Building in Upper Mawprem. The miscreants vandalized the house and fled with items which include a gold necklace, earrings and Rs. 6000 in cash.

Threat
D. Lamare lodged a complaint stating that on the evening of December 31, her son Damesha Lamare (38 years) vandalised her home and threatened her and her family with dire consequences in Dulong, West Jaintia Hills. Police have arrested the accused.

Fraud
Agarius R.L Nongkynrih lodged a complaint stating that from December 17-28, an unknown person fraudulently debited Rs 34,000 from his account.

Assault
On Monday around 1am, one John Nongsiej assaulted Kyrshan Uriah at Mawlai Kynton Massar. The victim was admitted at Bethany Hospital, Shillong. Police have arrested Nongsiej.
