SHILLONG: The new party president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will be announced next week, said the party’s working president in the state, Vijay Raj.
The post was earlier held by lone MLA Sanbor Shullai who was removed from the post of state unit president last month. Shullai has now joined BJP.
NCP senior leader Praful Patel will visit the state this month. He is scheduled to visit both Shillong and Tura. The details of his coming will be finalised on Monday, Raj said.
