The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat, has informed that all District Offices, Magisterial Courts and Educational Institutions located in the district will remain closed on January 11, on account of Nul Ding Kut Festival (Festival of Renewal of Life), at Saipung Village.

The NPP 17th North Shillong Constituency Committee, Southern Sector held a meeting under the Chairmanship of Shaiphar Rani, Chairman Organising Committee at Umsohsun on Monday. In the meeting office bearers were elected, the new chairman is Bryan J. Kharbih, co-chairman is Charlene Marak, Dipanjan Paul, Isaq Masih and Abhishek Das are the vice chairman, secretary is Sudha Paswan.
