Natl Youth Day
ABVP is organising a programme to commemorate the 155th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as National Youth Day at R.B Anupchand Hindi Secondary School at 10:30 am on Friday. Prize distribution of the literary competition and the inauguration of the ABVP Blood Directory will also be held.

Electoral rolls
The list of amendment to the draft electoral rolls for various constituencies in West Khasi Hills and the final publication of photo electoral rolls for constituencies in West Garo Hills have been prepared with reference to January 1, 2018 as the qualifying date and are available for inspection.
SWG DC C D Diengdoh handed over the final elec-toral rolls to political parties at a function that was followed by an aware-ness programme on Model Code of Conduct, EVM, VVPAT and training on IT application – Suvidha, Sugam and Samadhan.

RKM
Governor Ganga Prasad will address the youth at Rajbhavan on the occasion of the National Youth Day and the 156th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at 3pm on Friday. The governor will also chair a function at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Quinton Road from 10:30 to 12 noon on the same day.

The weighbridge of Mayalang Lanong at Garampani (Saphai), West Jaintia Hills, of Bhahi Dkhar at Iew Syiem, Iarbamon, Mukertila, Pynursla, and of Krup Nongbsap at Athiabari, West Khasi Hills, are notified to issue weighment certificates to all goods vehicles passing through the weighbridge for a year.
Free training
East Garo Hills DC Ram Kumar had invited unemployed youth between 18 and 35 years of age to undergo the free Skill Development Train-ing at Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology.
