SHILLONG: Saleng A Sangma, Independent MLA from Gambegre, will submit his resignation to the Speaker on Monday. Sangma has made it clear that he would join NCP as soon as he resigns.
However, he left it to the party to decide whether to nominate him as the NCP’s state president.
Meanwhile, South Tura MLA John Leslee K. Sangma has let it known that he would not resign on Monday, although he didn’t divulge any specific reason for his decision. However, he said that he might join NCP later as he has certain responsibilities to fulfil as the sitting MLA. “I will complete my tenure,” he said, adding that he might take the decision to resign in the month of February.
