DLSA to hold legal awareness camp in EGH

TURA: The District Legal Services Authority in East Garo Hills in collaboration with the district administration and authorities of Samanda Block is organising a legal awareness camp on the Jan 29 at Samanda Market from 9:30 A.M. as per the new module developed by the National Legal Services Authority.

Awareness on various topics ranging from issues related to labour, persons with disabilities, children, senior citizens, road safety and accident, victims of trafficking, scheduled tribes, welfare and poverty alleviation schemes will be given by the respective departments and legal aid counsels during the programme.

The Legal Awareness Camp will also connect the people with the schemes being run by the main departments for which steps have been taken by holding a meeting with the respective Nokmas, Sordars, Headmen and Secretaries/representatives of the villages/areas falling under the Samanda Block, the Secretary of DLSA informed.
