NGT violation
On January 22 around 7.30 am, one coal laden truck (As-01GC-8230) was found parked on the roadside at Mawlai, Kynton Massar, Shillong. On checking, the driver could not produce any valid documents for transporting coal.
Assault
Amit Barman of M/s Mukant Systems & Network Pvt. Ltd., Ulubari, Guwahati, Assam, lodged a complaint that on January 16, miscreants cut the telecom OFC cables of the Company at Mawiong area and Umiam area, damaging about 50 metres of cables. When their restoration team visited the spot at Mawiong, Shillong they were assaulted by miscreants and their vehicle damaged.
Missing
Sekha Paul (40) of Laban, Shillong was reported missing from her residence since January 19, 2018.
Fraud
Damankupar Shabong lodged a complaint that on January 17 around 6 pm, he made an agreement with one Banjopthiaw Lyngdoh Marshillong (33 yrs) at Mawlai Syllaikariah, Shillong for purchasing genuine coal challans of 9 MT each for an agreed price of Rs. 32,000 each. Accordingly the complainant received 100 challans and paid Rs 32 lakh in which Rs 8 lakh was paid in cash and Rs 24 lakh through cheque. On January 18, when the complainant went to revalidate the challans at DMR Office, Jowai (WJH), he found that the challans were fake.
Accident
On January 21 around 3 pm, one tempo (number not known) met with an accident near Indoor Stadium at Ampati (SWGH). As a result, one occupant sustained injuries and was shifted to Hospital for treatment
On January 21 around 4 pm, one motorcycle (ML-08E-3767) ridden by Gasrang Ch Sangma (18) met with an accident at Rokkolpara Bridge (SWGH). As a result, one pillion rider sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Ampati for treatment.
Theft
Md. Ashidul Alam (24) lodged a complaint that on January 22 around 12.30 am, three armed miscreants stopped his vehicle at Umroi, Shillong By-Pass, assaulted him and robbed him of Rs 1,46, 500 and his cell phone.
Japphang Jana Nongbet lodged a complaint that on January 19, miscreants stole solar street lights from Lumjingsuk Block-A, Madanrting, Shillong.
Donkupar Marngar lodged a complaint that on January 17 around 7.30 pm, miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05Q-5943) parked in his premises at Lawjynriew, Shillong.
