Vandalism
Raynald R Kharkongor of Assam Rifles lodged a complaint that on January 24, he detected that miscreants entered his quarter at Cantonment, Pine Walk, Shillong and vandalised his belongings.

Theft
On the intervening night of January 23 & January 24, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05H-5909) belonging to Binayak Samai, parked at Lower Lachumiere, Shillong.

Assault
On January 22 around 5 pm, one Wanborlang Lyngkhoi assaulted Mattheus Nongrem (31 years) at Pyndendakni, Balat causing him injuries.
Miningstar Marwein, driver of night super bus (AS-01-AC-0594) lodged a complaint that on January 23 around 9 pm, Opahar Dkhar, Sanu Longwar and one other, pelted stones at his vehicle near a weighbridge at Ratacherra and also threatened him with dire consequences. As a result, the windshield of the vehicle got damaged.

Body found
On January 22, the body of one Clement D Sangma (37 years) was found lying outside the house of Selina Marak at Pataghat village in East Khasi Hill. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong for postmortem.
