Shillong View Point closed
The Shillong View Point will remain closed on January 26 for the general public. This was informed by the Squadron Leader, Senior Administrative Officer, Air Force Station Laitkor.

DEIC inauguration
Additional Chief Secretary, P W Ingty will inaugurate the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) OPD Building, Ganesh Das Government M & CH Hospital, Shillong on January 29 at 11:00 am. The DEIC is aimed at child health screening and early intervention services reaching out to newborn, pre-school children and school children from the age group of 0-18 years.

24×7 Call Centre set up
A 24×7 Call Centre has been established at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, East Jaintia Hills, Khliehriat, for the public to inform the election monitoring machinery regarding corrupt practices related to the election, complaints/queries being received from various stake-holders about the Model Code of Conduct in view of the Legislative Assembly election with effect from January 18 to March 5. Any complaints and queries may be made through the Control Room at 03652-230783, 230788.

Blood donation camp
Seng Samla Laban will be holding a blood donation camp at Assam Club, Laban on Saturday from 10:30 am onwards.

Rice released
The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Amlarem Sub Division has informed that AAY rice, NFSA (PHH) and Non-NFSA for the month of January 2018 will be released to the Fair Price Shops Dealers on January 29 and 30.

Dorbar Pyllun
The annual Dorbar Pyllun (General Clan Meet) of the Seng Kur Nongsteng will be held on January 27 at Madan Phutbol, Umtrew (before reaching Umsning), Ri Bhoi District. All clan members are requested to attend the meeting.
