SHILLONG: A One-day CME cum workshop on Arthritis and tissue engineering will be organized by the department of Orthopedics NEIGRIHMS on February 2 at the lecture theatre-1.
Eminent professionals from IIT Guwahati, NEHU Shillong and NEIGRIHMS will deliberate upon various concerns regarding the disease and share their expertise in the field.
2nd edition
of Miss Hynniewtrep

SHILLONG: The second edition of Miss Hynniewtrep will be organised by the Bakur Social Welfare Sports Club (BSWSC) on February 16 and 17 at Bakur football ground, Jowai.
The club will also hold the Miss Hynniewtrep cum dancing competition.
Speaking to reporters, president of the club, Daniel Khongsit said that the event will provide a platform to talented women and to build their confidence.
The cash reward will be Rs 50,000 to the winner, Rs 25,000 to the first runner up and Rs 25,000 to the second runner up, he said.
Khongsit said that the organisers were overwhelmed with the response of the first edition in which 5000 people attended the programme.
Lawsohtun Confluence Day
SHILLONG: A Confluence Day organised by Ngi Ki Lawsohtun was held at St John Bosco School, Lawsohtun, on Saturday. Awards were handed over to meritorious students from classes I to X. Achievement awards were also given to those who have brought laurels to the locality.
Prizes were given to the winners of the Baby Show and Jainsem competition. As part of the celebration, the group also released a short documentary film, Ko Lawsohtun.
The winners of the lucky draw are 3604, 3537, 3199 and five consolation prizes 3534, 4496, 3154, 3116 and 3277.
Republic Day celebrated in NEIGRIHMS
SHILLONG: Along with other parts of the country, the 69th Republic day was also celebrated in NEIGRIHMS and was attended by the faculty members and staff of the institute on Friday last.
Director, NEIGRIHMS Dr D M Thapa hoisted the flag. He informed that various infrastructure development plans to expand the existing facilities of the Hospital is going on and are expected to be completed within the speculated time. The programme was followed by a get together of NEIGRIHMS family.
