Two more MLAs resign, tally rises to 20

SHILLONG: Ahead of the Assembly polls, as many as 20 MLAs out of the total 60 have resigned from the post till date with the latest being Independent legislator Rophul Marak representing Rongara-Siju and Congress legislator Bluebell Sangma from Chokpot on Tuesday.
While Marak said he has not joined any political party after his resignation, Bluebell, who was denied Congress ticket, said she is yet to decide on the future course of action.
Earlier, majority of the legislators who quit the post had joined NPP, PDF, BJP and NCP.
