SHILLONG: Party functionaries of People’s Democratic Front (PDF), Mawsynram Unit have extended their support to Congress candidate from Mawsynram, HM Shangpliang.
They are Reagan Kharnaior, Vice-President of PDF Mawsynram Unit and Justine Marwein a member of Mawsynram unit who alleged that former MLA from Mawsynram, PN Syiem was not living upto the expectations of the people.
On the same day, the supporters of PDF from Syntein, Laitumsaw, Kyrdoh extended their support to Shangpliang.
Meanwhile, a public meeting was held at Shilliang Dongki Madan Nongspung, Sohiong on January 31 by the Congress party in which Congress candidate from Sohiong, HDR Lyngdoh addressed the gathering.
Speaking about the recent assault case where his personal security guards were alleged to have harassed a driver was aimed at tarnishing the reputation of his security guards.
He further informed that he would file his nomination at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills on February 3.
