Someone once said (and I quote), “A Great man is one who can make a small man feel great, and perform great.” I ask you, is it really about setting audacious objectives and getting people to own and achieve them or is it getting someone else to do what you want done because he or she wants to do it or is it making people feel and take pride that they have done it or letting go while retaining the right to know what is going on or is it an art of accomplishing more than what scientific management says is possible? Think about it. Everyone has their own views; if you can achieve all the above points then you can be a great motivator and a great leader.
We wonder sometimes, we look back on our life and think, have we done this or that? Have we been able to motivate people? Are we a motivator of people? When you wake up in the morning do you look at the mirror? What do you see? Do you think that you are beautiful or handsome? If yes, then, how do you feel?
You maybe a musician, an author, a priest, a director, an IAS officer, a journalist, in fact anyone. Does this actually matter when it comes to you? What motivates you everyday? If you feel indifferent, then what gets you going? Maybe music, maybe the lyrics of a song, or is it money? It does cease to matter — be great, be the best you can.
So my friends, if you’ve understood my take on motivation and how it could help brighten your life, let’s discuss more and take it further.
Couple of months back when I was training in a particular state, someone asked me “Sir, why are there so many suicides in India?”
A very good question I would say. Why is it? What would you have replied? I’ll suggest, Avoid Negative Thoughts or Things and Habits. Believe in yourself. Consider things from every angle and also from others points of view. Dare to Dream Big and don’t ignore criticism. Instead soak it in make yourself better. Believe in family and friends for they are hidden treasures; enjoy the riches; and enjoy everything..
Given more than you planned to, for the more you give the more you receive… and while giving, have a good sense of humor tinged with excitement, energy and enthusiasm. Don’t forget to jump onto Problems because they are opportunities in disguise. Remember to Keep up the good work, however, hard it may seem and love it to the extent, even to such heights that u think it cannot be achieved and make sure to love yourself, just as you are, for you are beautiful and handsome as God has given you that gift and that quality .
Make Impossibility a possibility because the word impossible says I’m possible. I’m sure you have heard these words but have we really, really tried using this in our life. I am possible.
Change yourself and help others to do the same. go make that change and be that change.. never lie, cheat or steal- apply it in your life and encourage others to do the same because every drop makes a pool, a pool makes a pond, a pond makes a stream, a stream makes a river, a river makes an ocean, that is an ocean of opportunities for all of us. So do you still say imposssible or do you say I’m possible.
Open your eyes and see the ocean of opportunities. don’t worry if you fail- it happens to all of us but have the courage to stand up and fight and fight till the end because no one is perfect for quitters never win and winners never quit.
Dream my dear friends for dreams do come true, if you have the courage to do it then yes, you can make it happen, so lets make it happen.
