SHILLONG: UDP candidate from Mawryngkneng, Pynkhlainborlang Mukhim has alleged that the roads in the constituency are repaired and turned into good roads only during the elections.

Speaking to media persons after filing his nominations   here on Wednesday, the UDP candidate without naming anyone said that some MLAs during campaigning promised a lot to the people but after winning elections, they work only for their selected leaders and supporters.

Expressing confidence that he would win the elections, Mukhim alleged that there are no proper health facilities in the constituency

“We have a sub centre but many a time it is found that there are no nurses,” he said while lamenting that the constituency despite being so huge does not have a college and students have to spend huge amount of money to come to Shillong for attending their classes.
