SHILLONG: The State Congress lined up a list of 40 star campaigners for the party in the poll-bound state.
Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Working President, Vincent Pala on Thursday said that the list included AICC president, Rahul Gandhi, former president, Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, A K Antony, Shashi Tharoor, Salman Khurshid Oscar Fernandes beside others
He said that the party will give a proposal to the AICC president, Rahul Gandhi to have a road show instead of public meetings.
Responding to query, Pala informed that the manifesto of the party will be released tentatively by February 15, adding that many other political parties do try to copy the manifesto of the Congress.
“A researchers’ team from Delhi is here and it will go for printing most probably by tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Pala also said that the party is expecting 4 seats to win from Jaintia Hills.
