BSF mounts vigil in view of polls

SHILLONG: The Border Security Force (BSF)  in Meghalaya has augmented its manpower along the Indo-Bangla border in  view of the forthcoming Assembly polls.

An officials from the BSF said that the manpower has been augmented to ensure that there is no smuggling of liquor or cash  from the border even as the official said that candidates on many occasion campaigned in border areas and hence they have to be careful.

The  official informed that the Force would also   launch  special operations  just few days before the polls to ensure that there is no smuggling of any contraband items in the border areas of the state during the polls.
