BSF tightens security on Indo-Bangla border

SHILLONG: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya has augmented its manpower along the Indo-Bangla border in view of the forthcoming Assembly polls.
An official from the BSF said that the manpower has been augmented to ensure that there is no smuggling of liquor or cash from the border.
The official said that election candidates will have to be careful as they it is not uncommon for them to campaign in the border areas.
The force will also launch special operations a few days before the polls.
