SHILLONG: National People’s Party (NPP) candidate from Nongkrem HS Shylla said that his contender from HSPDP, Ardent Basaiawmoit should apologise to the headman of Mawmuthoh, Ribor Kharumnuid.
In a statement issued here, Shylla said that Basaiawmoit should apologise to Kharumnuid’s family for alleged threats issued by Basaiawmoit to Kharumnuid.
Shylla also said that Basaiawmoit should apologise to the District Election Officer (DEO) as the reply to the showcause submitted to the DEO was not true.
Basaiawmoit had replied to the showcause notice issued by the District Administration for holding a meeting without seeking necessary permissions.
Shylla went on to add that if Basaiawmoit did not apologise before the elections (February 27), he would file a complaint against him with an election petition after the elections.
