SHILLONG: With National People’s Party (NPP) being part of North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), president of All India Mahila Congress, Sushmita Deb said that NPP president, Conrad Sangma was a puppet of the BJP and RSS.

NEDA is formed by the BJP on May 24, 2016 along with several regional political parties in the North East.

Addressing a press conference, she said, “Conrad Sangma, will simply a puppet in the hands of the RSS and BJP.”

“He should first go to his nearest Church and put his hand on the Bible and swear to the people of Meghalaya that he will not tie up with the BJP at any level,” he added.

She argued that voting for Conrad Sangma’s party is allowing RSS culture, ideology and mindset to come into Meghalaya.

“If people vote for NPP, she said that BJP will be running NPP because NPP is clearly a part of NEDA,” she said.
