Birth anniv
The 183rd birth anniversary of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa was celebrated on Saturday at the Laitumkhrah premises of Ramakrishna Mission. The programme started at 5 am with mangalarati followed by chanting from the Vedas, Special Puja, Havana, Sankirtana, Pushpanjali and distribution of Prasad. Various discourse on the life and teachings of Ramakrishna was presented by General Secretary, RK Mission Swami Sarvabhutananda besides Swami Divyalokananda and Swami Vedasaranandaji Maharaj.

ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya,Cotton Research and Development Association (CRDA), Hisar, Haryana and Indian Association of Hill Farming, Umiam, Meghalaya will organise a four-day ‘International Congress on Cotton and Other Fibre Crops’ from February 20-23, 2018 at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam. The Governor of Meghalaya, Ganga Prasad will be the chief guest at the inaugural function.
