SHILLONG: The Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) demanded a thorough investigation into the death of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate from Williamnagar, Jonathone  N Sangma and three other party workers.

In light of the incident, a statement from the in-charge of media cell of the party Londoner Sohtun, said that the incident created a fear psychosis among the people of the state in general and Williamnagar in particular.

The Party called upon the people of the state to unite against “such cowardly acts”.  The Party also conveyed its sympathy to the family of Jonathone and other families.

Jonathone was killed in an IED blast on Sunday evening along with three others while others received injuries.
