Driver injured
On February 19 around 7 pm, one Maruti car (ML-04B-8378) driven by Damekit Shangpliang (30 yrs) capsized at Khliehtyrshi (EJH). As a result, the driver sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to CH Ialong.
Handyman killed
On February 14, one coal laden truck (AS-10C-0318) driven by Md. Nazrul Islam went off the road at Kuliang, NH-44 (EJH). As a result, handyman of the truck viz., Md. Mokar Uddin Laskar (37 yrs) died at the spot.
Theft
Dr.Utpala Ghaley Sena of NEHU Campus, Shillong lodged a complaint that on February 15 around 11.30 pm, during her absence miscreant(s) broke into her quarter at NEHU Campus and stole handycam, tablets and MP3 iPod valued around Rs. 78,000.
Goods stolen
Abhimanu Kumar Rai lodged a complaint that on February13 around 1 pm, two persons identified as Deepak and Samarjeet along with their accomplice stole his cell-phone and gold chain from Pynthorbah, Block-III, Shillong.
Threat
Madan Lamare, driver of oil tanker AS-09C-7561 lodged a complaint that on February 11, five miscreants threatened him with dire consequences and snatched his vehicle’s documents, EPIC, cell-phone and cash Rs. 1000 from him at Mawiong, Shillong.
