Jonathone’s widow to contest from W’nagar

TURA: Slain NCP candidate Jonathone N Sangma’s widow Krinilla R Marak has decided to join electoral politics and answer the bullet with the ballot.
Krinilla, on Friday accepted the party candidature from Williamnagar amid cheers of thousands of supporters at a meeting attended by senior NCP leaders, including its general secretary SP Thapa and the party’s youth wing president Torang R Marak.
“I thank each of you for the support for my late husband and the continued support for me,” said Krinilla, a mother of three children.Thapa demanded that the GNLA give a statement on Jonathone’s murder. “What is the fact? Whether they (GNLA cadres) committed the act or not? Let the facts be open so that the family members won’t be in the dark,” said Thapa.
