Slain RPF officer’s body flown to Delhi

SHILLONG: The mortal remains of the Assistant Commandant of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), MC Tyagi was dispatched on Monday to Guwahati for onward airlifting to Delhi after the postmortem and embalming were done at NEIGRIHMS in Shillong.

Tyagi was killed on Sunday after being shot by constable, Arjun Deshwal at the Railway Protection Force (RPF) camp in Mawkyrwat town of Meghalaya bordering Bangladesh.

An official communiqué said that many senior Officers of the Central Forces and Meghalaya Police were present in large numbers in the postmortem house.
