SHILLONG: The vote-on-account budget session of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has ben deferred. The session will be held on March 20 to March 23.

The KHADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) PN Syiem raised a point of order proposing to defer the session as most MDCs who contested the just concluded Assembly elections, were absent and it will be problematic for them to come to attend the KHADC session the very next day after the Assembly polls.

The move was supported by MDC Nongkrem and NPP candidate for Assembly elections, HS Shylla and leader of opposition, HSPDP member, Manstudy Nongrem.
