Sangma dynansties remain intact in Meghalaya

GUWAHATI:Both the Sangma dynasties in Meghalaya have done well in retaining their fiefdoms in Meghalaya as has been reflected in the poll results so declared in the hill state.

Chief Minister Mukul Sangma, his wife Dikanchi D Shira, his brother Zenith Sangma have won the polls.

On the other hand members from Late P A Sangma’s family including his son James K Sangma and his daughter and former union minister Agatha Sangma have won election as candidate of National People’s Party.
