One killed in mishap
On March 2 around 1.30 pm, an accident took place between two motorcycle (ML-05L-4561) ridden by Sakar Thakuri (25) and (ML-04B-8895) ridden by Amrit Devbarman (23) at Pynthorbah, Golf Link. As a result, both the riders sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Shillong where the attending MO declared Thakuri brought dead.
House burnt
NPP supporters alleg-edly torched the house of a Congress supporter after the election results were declared in Sutnga on Saturday. Fire tenders from Ladrymbai managed to control the blaze before it spread to the neighbouring houses. A complaint has been lodged in this regard.
Assault
A woman lodged a complaint that on March 2, her husband viz., Meshanbor Nongtdu (29) threatened and assaulted her at Pohkseh.
