NONGPOH: Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) students performed a skit during the International Women’s Day celebration at Nongpoh on Thursday.
The celebration was organised by the office of the District Social Welfare Officer, Ri Bhoi in collaboration with the District Task Force: Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, District Legal Services Authority & Women Organisations Ri Bhoi District.
Newly-elected MLA of Nongpoh, Mayralborn Syiem attended the celebration as the chief guest in his first ever public appearance after being elected as a representative from Nongpoh Constituency, while the Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi, CP Gotmare was the as guest of honour in the function that was attended by a host of other government officials.
