SHILLONG: NPP member HS Shylla urged people to prepare a write-up on the use of cash and other unfair means in the election and also suggested that the problem areas needed to be addressed.
In a statement issued here, Shylla said the pledge for free and fair election is only in name after he claimed that “menace of cash-for-votes” was rampant in most of the constituencies.
He said a meeting will be convened for which the time and date will be announced later.
Shylla, who unsuccessfully contested the recently concluded Assembly elections, said issues which were discussed during the election campaign were only music to one’s ears.
