Accident
On March 15 around 7.30 am, one coal laden Bolero pick-up (ML-05G-9372) driven by Riboklang Kharthangmaw capsized along the Sarikushi village road in Ri Bhoi. The vehicle was transporting coal without valid documents. Police have confiscated the vehicle and the matter is now under investigation.
On March 14 around 1.45 pm, one scooty (ML-05Q-1922) ridden by Kitbok Thabah knocked down one pedestrian Waren Mawthoh at Bhoirymbong junction. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to CIcil Hospital in Bhoirymbong.
On March 14 around 9.25 pm, one motorcycle (ML-05H-7964) ridden by Q. V Chiri (23) crashed at Laitkor. The rider and one pillion rider sustained injuries and were transported to Bethany Hospital. The rider was later referred to NEIGRIHMS.
Missing
J.N Singh of M/s Star Cement Ltd., Lumshnong lodged a complaint that one truck (NL-01A-8135) along with its driver Emidahun Dkhar, had gone missing from Jowai since March 4.
One dead
Kmenlang Suting of Khimusniang, Jowai lodged a complaint that his nephew Iainehskhem Suting attended a picnic at Syntuksiar in West Jaintia Hills along with one Wansalan Marak. However, Iainehskhem Suting did not return home and his dead body was recovered from Myntdu River on March 11.
Theft
On March 9 around midnight, unknown miscreants stole forty-nine batteries valued at Rs. 2,88,000 from an Aircel tower at Killing village in Khanapara.
