Teen killed in accident
On March 14 around 10.15 am, one Tata Magic vehicle (ML-13-5163) driven by Ramun R Marak (34) collided with one scooty (without registration plate) ridden by Dilchi K Sangma (19) at Gajing Jamgaon Sorokpara in North Garo Hills.
As a result, the scooty rider and one pillion rider viz. Silmichi A Sangma (19) sustained injuries and were removed to CHC Resubelpara from where the injured was referred to a hospital at Goalpara, however, she succumbed to her injuries on the way.
Truck handyman dies
On March 15 around 5 pm, Bar Suting, handyman of truck (AS-01EC-0339) was found dead inside the truck at Ummulong, NH-44 in West Jaintia Hills.
Reportedly, Suting was suffering from illness for the last few months and did not go for medical treatment.
Three held for drugs possession
On March 14 around 11 am, Police arrested three persons namely Eveger Basaiawmoit, Abringson Kharrumnong and Jeremy Marwein from Polo, Shillong and recovered 1.31 grams of suspected heroin from their possession.
