Accident
On March 20 around 3 pm, Binod Boro (36) sustained injuries when his hand was crushed by the roller of a crusher machine at M/s Pawan Ispat, Harlibagan, Byrnihat . He was shifted to CHC Byrnihat and later referred to a hospital in Guwahati.
Assault
SI RM Suchiang of Women police station, Jowai, lodged a complaint that during investigation of Nartiang PS case, she found out that on March 4 around 6.30 pm, Bor Biam and two others assaulted Johny Shylla at Umladang village in West Jaintia Hills.
Forgery
Denis Lyngdoh lodged a complaint which stated that unknown persons using the facebook profile name Sd M. Jyrwa had been uploading posts concerning the Shillong Archery [Teer], deceiving and cheating the general public in the process by enticing them to deposit Rs. 10,000/- [advance] and Rs. 40,000/- [full payment] to book teer numbers, which is synonymous with the business being run by the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Institute.
Vandalism
James Gabil Momin, Range Forest Officer, Williamnagar Forest Range Office, Garo Hills Autonomous District Council lodged a complaint that on March 18 around 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants vandalized the Samanda Forest Beat Office, GHADC . Earlier on March 17 around 1 pm, the State Forest Department officials seized one truck loaded with illegal logs from Samanda Megapgre (EGH). The person behind the smuggling was one Md. Siddique. It is suspected that Siddique may have instigated others to vandalize the GHADC Forest Beat Office.
