TURA: The Association for Democracy and Empowerment (ADE) in Baghmara of South Garo Hills has urged local MLAs of the district as well as Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma to look into various issues being faced by the people.
Informing that Jio 4G mobile network was getting worse day-by-day resulting in frequent call drops and reduced internet speed, the association urged the concerned representatives to bring an immediate solution to the problem.
“Many consumers are facing inconvenience owing to insufficient mobile towers and improper network. We demand that the matter is looked into immediately so that the problem can be rectified,” it said.
With regard to the repairing work being undertaken on NH-62, the association lamented that though the work was started last year, it was moving at a snail’s pace with only 20 percent of the total work having been completed. The association sought the intervention of local MLAs, Samuel Sangma and Rakkam Sangma including Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma in the matter so that all pending work can be completed at the earliest.
The association also called for the speeding up of the double lane road project from Baghmara to Moheskola and the much awaited double lane from Dangsa Awe to Karonggre also on NH-62.
