2 killed in road accidents

SHILLONG: Two persons died in separate road accidents that took place at West Jaintia Hills and  at 7th Mile, Upper Shillong, East Khasi Hills.

One truck (AS-01GC-7822) fell down into a gorge at Wahmynso, NH-44 (WJH) in which two occupants died at the spot in an accident that took place on Monday at about 6:45 pm.

One of the occupants sustained grievous injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital  Ialong, while three other occupants sustained minor injuries.

In a separate accident on Sunday at around 6 A.M., a female occupant, Bhaduh Syiemlieh died at the spot as a Maruti local taxi (ML-05H-0928) in which she was travelling in dashed against a wall at 7th Mile, Upper Shillong.

The driver and two others sustained injuries in the accident and were admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.
