Hek receives Good Samaritan memento

SHILLONG: The GVK EMRI on Monday felicitated, Meghalaya Minister Alexander Laloo Hek.
The GVK EMRI special gesture to Hek who is also the state’s Health and Family Welfare Minister comes a week after he and his friends saved the lives of a couple who met with an accident last week in New Delhi.
Hek was presented by a memento in his office chamber by Chief Operating Officer of the GVK EMRI Deepankar Choudhury.
The others present along with Hek on that day were, Simon Kharsohtun who is pursuing his LLM from Delhi University, Anthony Pyngrope, driver of Meghalaya House in Delhi and Basu Damini of Dimapur, Nagaland.
This accident occured on March 21 in New Delhi, when Hek was on his way to meet  Information and Broadcasting Minister, Smriti Zubin Irani.
Hek said, “This is the duty of every human being especially in the time of crisis.”
