Former GNC chief re-elected

TURA: Former president of the Garo National Council (GNC) Kalpana D Sangma, who had earlier tendered her resignation from the post, has been re-elected to lead the party.
Sangma had resigned from the post after the party’s election debacle. GNC drew a blank in the February polls.
According to GNC General Secretary HA Sangma, an emergent meeting was held in the official quarters of then Deputy CEM Wenison Ch Marak on Monday where Sangma was re-elected as the president.
