KSU locks office for remaining open on Good Friday

SHILLONGIrked at an office not paying heed to its demand to remain close on the occasion of Good Friday, the Khasi Students’ Union locked the office of Ujjivan Microfinance Bank at Jeep Stand, Motphran.

According to a press communiqué by the union, the office was functioning on Good Friday by keeping it shut from outside whereas staff were working inside.

However, some people were suspicious of the hidden act of the office which prompted to lodge complain with the KSU.

The union has warned the authorities of the Bank to conform to the societal norms of Hynniewtrep people lest they be chased out of the Hynniewtrep land.
