SHILLONG: With no regret for not being able to become the chief minister, the number two in the NPP-led MDA government, Prestone Tynsong, said on Tuesday that the Cabinet is guided by the principle of collective responsibility.
Asked to compare the style and functioning of his former leader Mukul Sangma and the present Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Tynsong, without referring to anyone, said, “We now believe in collective responsibility and all have equal roles in decision-making.”
Tynsong, however, avoided a question regarding why he was not appointed as the chief minister as the choice went to Conrad following the condition put forward by the UDP for its support to form the new government.
