Accident
On April 11 around 1pm, one Hyundai Grand i10 (ML-05M-2857) driven by Wanshaiphar L. Mawphlang collided with one Tata Sumo tourist vehicle (ML-10B-2496), driven by Jopborlang Mawlong at Umralen in Ri Bhoi . Occupants of the Tata Sumo sustained injuries and were admitted at CHC in Umsning.
On April 11 around 6 pm, one Bazar bus (ML-05L-0298) driven by Teiborlang Mawlong (37) fell into a drain at Umsohlang in Ri Bhoi. One occupant Bhakti Rai (34) died on the spot.
Coal truck seized
On April 12 around 5.30am, police seized one coal laden truck (ML-10A-9733) travelling without valid documents at Shangbangla in Ri Bhoi.
Woman murdered
Philis Jojo (35) lodged a complaint stating that on April 11, he was informed by Lumshnong Police that dead body of an unidentified woman was recovered from Thanglaba Lumshnong in East Jaintia Hills. The dead body was later identified as that of Mera Jojo (27) wife of the complainant who is suspected to have been murdered by unknown miscreants
Theft
Balanstar Khongsit lodged a complaint that on March 31 around 4pm, unknown miscreant(s) stole his cell-phone at Iewduh.
