NONGSTOIN: The Village Employment Committee of Mawduh on Thursday inaugurated the food processing unit and the strawberry plantation of SK Marshra.
Marshra told reporters that he started the plantation with his savings and thanked the village committee and the BDO for their support through the MGNREGA scheme.
Charles Jana, the district programme officer for MGNREGA, said the office of the BDO, Nongstoin, through the MNGREGA “is concentrating on new plans”.
He added that there is no limit for them to approve such schemes as the MGNREGA will have a convergence with the departments concerned to work together for the betterment of the people.
He asked the Mawduh villagers to start a processing unit in a big scale.
