SHILLONG: Independent MLA SK Sunn asserted that Khrawsing College needs to be shifted to a permanent campus as per instruction from NEHU as at present the college is functioning from a temporary campus in Mawngap.
Taking part in the discussion on Budget speech in the Assembly on Thursday, Sunn said that the government may consider providing financial support to get a permanent campus. He stated that the government may also need to provide financial assistance to Seng Khasi Marbisu which will be celebrating its centenary in 2020.
On the Health and Family Welfare department, he said the government may need to initiate urgent necessary steps to set up Blood Storage Center or Blood Banks in Ganesh Das and Civil Hospital.
He also informed the House that the Mawsadang Public Health Centre which was completed about 4 years ago, is yet to start functioning.
