One killed in accident
On April 13 around 9.45 am, a clinker laden truck (ML-04A-8709) dashed against a Maruti-800 (ML-04C-3443) driven by Kamaihok Lamare at 4th Mile junction (WJH). As a result, one occupant sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Jowai where she succumbed to her injuries.
Theft
On April 12, unknown miscreants stole a motorcycle (ML-05Q-8123) belonging to Ezekiel Chyne from Mawlai Kynton Massar, Shillong.
Merry Syrti lodged a complaint between April 5 and 9, that unknown miscreants stole seven tolas of gold valued around 2.5 lakh and cash 1,70,000/- from her house at Rngi Jynriew, Nongthymmai, Shillong.
On March 1 around 1.30 pm, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Kulshi Sharma at New Kench’s Trace, Shillong and stole gold ornaments valued at Rs. 70,000.
Thangbei Khante lodged a complaint that between April 1 and 12, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05Q-7830) from his residence at Law-U-Sib, Lumbatngen, Shillong.
Jameris Suja lodged a complaint that on March 31, unknown miscreants stole four tyres valued around Rs. 29,600/- from his vehicle (ML-05H-7555) which was parked near Khliehriat Presbyterian Church (EJH).

Accident
On April 11 around 11 am, a Maruti Alto (ML-04C-3446) collided with a Bolero (ML-05J-0025) at Mawryngkneng (EKH). As a result, two female occupants of the Alto car sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On April 11 at about 9 pm, an unknown vehicle knocked down Phrika Nongkhlaw (47) at Laitlyngkot (EKH). The victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Nazareth Hospital, Shillong.
Fake challan
DMR inspector i/c Dainadubi DMR Check Gate (NGH) lodged a complaint that on April 11, during checking detected three coal laden trucks (AS-08C-0751, AS-01CC-7572 & AS-18C-0348) using fake challans. The trucks along with the fake challans were seized and the matter is under investigation.
Driver missing
On April 10, a Maruti Swift D’zire (ML-05G-02541) was reported missing along with the driver namely Phrangshai Basaiawmoit from Shillong.
Assault
On April 9, two persons viz., Ashod Sangma and Montu Barman assaulted Paresh Barman (55 yrs) at Hat Mawdon (EKH). The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
