Body found in Umta river

NONGPOH: Ri Bhoi police recovered the body of a man from the Umta river at Pamkroh in the district on Friday evening.
The body, which was floating on the river, is yet to be identified. The deceased man is suspected to be around 30-40 years of age and was wearing an Argentina jersey number 10, tracksuit pants and slippers.
The body was brought to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for postmortem. The police are trying to trace his family.
