SHILLONG: A 19 –year-old boy has been arrested in Khliehriat for allegedly sharing private videos of his girlfriend that has gone viral in social media.
DSP of East Jaintia Hills, Gilbert AL Marshillong said that a girl filed complaint at Khliehriat Police Station on Wednesday stating that her boyfriend asked her to shot a private video and the girl complied and sent the same to the boy
However, the boy shared the video with his friends which went viral in social media.
Police refused to divulge the information of the boy and the accused has been arrested under Section 420 and 506 of the IPC besides Section 66 of the IT Act.
It may be mentioned that this is not the first time that such cases have been reported in the state. Last year, a man was held for allegedly uploading intimate videos of his wife in a pornography website.
