City court grants bail to alleged NSCN-K rebel

SHILLONG: A city court on last Friday granted bail to  Inovi Avika Assumi, the  alleged  “Finance Secretary” of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K)).

Inovi Avika Assumi was arrested   by a special team of the state police and the Assam Riffles commandos   who raided the hideout at Saw Furlong area  on November 18  last year.

When contacted, the legal counsel of  Assumi, Nitin Khera said that his client was not a member of NSCN-K and there has been some mistake.
