Meghalaya deficit school teachers want to be considered for 5th Pay Commission

SHILLONG: A delegation of Khasi Jaintia Deficit School Teachers’ Association  met Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday to urge upon the government to enlist the deficit teachers for the  5thPay Commission benefits.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, president of the Association, ED Nongsiag said that the Chief Minister had assured that the government would take a decision on the matter within ten days.
 Different issues  like implementation of Education policy and provincialisation of services of deficit teachers were also discussed in the meeting. It is learnt that the draft Education policy will be put into the public domain within two months for suggestions and views.
