Deputy Speaker assures people of development

TURA: Meghalaya Deputy Speaker and Resubelpara MLA Timothy D Shira on Thursday met the people of Boda Apal under his constituency at Boda Apal English School where various problems being faced by the people were raised.
During the meeting, the local MLA apprised the people of various development initiatives that his government would be taking up for the area like crop Insurance police to farmers, upgradation of LP schools to UP schools and UP schools to Higher Secondary level including infrastructure development, road connectivity from Radi to Daram via Songmegap and Bodo Apal, Motchorpara to Damebibra via Boda Apal, Dalbingpa to Chibagok via Songmegap, Motchorpara and Rongpetchi.
 The local MLA assured that one major bridge each at Dekachang, Chidaret Thapa Bazar, Daram Puthimary and Khardang Mendipathar would be constructed. Shira also assured to look into the demarcation of PWD land on the main road by holding a meeting with the concerned department’s engineers, so that there would be no obstruction during widening of roads in the future.
