Don Bosco School brings home medals in Taekwondo

  1. TURA: The taekwondo team of the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School in Tura has brought laurels to the school and Garo Hills by winning 4 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals in the 3rd Goodwill Open National Taekwondo Championship 2018 held on April 29 and 30from 29 at Amguri College Indoor Staduim, Sivasagar.Avera G Momin, Azelia A Sangma, Krist Jerixo Marak won gold in the Poomae Team Cadet division while Patricia A Sangma was awarded gold in Sub Junior division. Tengsime Sangma took away the Silver medal in the Junior Team Poomsae division while the bronze medallists in Pair Cadet Poomsae division are Krist Jerixo Marak, Tengsime Sangma, Mary Walnora Ch Marak and Avera G Momin.

    The Annual Championship was jointly organised by the Assam Taekondo Academy, Sivasagar District Taekondo Association and Samaguri Yuva Samai, Sivasagar.

    Meanwhile, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Principal, Fr Albert Thyrniang has felicitated the medal winners and the coach for their excellent performance.
