SHILLONG: As many as 21 BJP leaders from both the Centre and the state will campaign for NPP candidate Clement Momin in Ampati while the Congress has listed the names of 40 leaders. They have been categorised as star campaigners.
According to the list submitted to the Election Commission, the BJP campaigners include Ramlalji, Ram Madhav, Jual Oram, Jitendra Singh, KJ Alphons, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Ajay Jamwal, Nalin Kohli, Shibun Lyngdoh, AL Hek, Sanbor Shullai and others.
Prominent among the Congress campaigners are CP Joshi, Vijayalaxmi Sadho, Celestine Lyngdoh, Mukul Sangma, DD Lapang, James S Lyngdoh, Vincent H. Pala, Wansuk Syiem, Gaurav Gogoi, Sushmita Dev, MM Danggo, Zenith M Sangma, Clement R Marak, PT Sawkmie, Dikkanchi D. Shira, WD Sangma, Marthon Sangma, Azad Zaman, HM Shangpliang, David Nongrum, Mayralborn Syiem, George Lyngdoh, Lazarus Sangma, Jimmy D Sangma, Deborah C Marak and others.
